Vintage

Fashion inevitability will cycle over time and old trends will make a comeback. More recently though, vintage clothing has become a staple within this generation. Being able to find an old shirt from the ’80s, ’90s or even early ’00s has become a trademark look.

This article of clothing may not even be from that time, but the replica feel and old-timer aesthetic have become very prevalent. I personally really enjoy these types of shirts because of the vibrant and bold prints they usually have. I have personally collected a ton of sports-related vintage wear of some of my favorite teams, cities, or championship runs. I often go to thrift stores around the cities I’m in and you can find these gems for cheap.

It also always makes for a great conversation when discussing the significance of the shirt. The trend started as vintage Band T-shirts that were more often grunge related bands and rock n roll. More recently individuals have moved away from that and are starting to look at famous vintage individuals whether it be, musicians, athletes, and even brands.

You can often see companies starting to use their original logos in some of their clothing to promote that old feel. I feel this has become such a statement because individuals, including myself, want to feel a part of something.

Whether it is a specific time or era that we weren’t able to fully grasp and want to live through that. It can even be a nostalgic feeling when you grew up during the time and you are just showing appreciation. Whatever the reason may be this style of clothing is here to stay for a while, as described by KCRW

There are so many different vintage pieces and you will be able to find something you feel suits you. I recommend this aesthetic to individuals who want a switch from the normal pieces they may currently have.
